Assistant Men's Basketball Coach (NCAA Division III)

About the role

Carleton College seeks an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach to support a competitive NCAA Division III program. The position runs from September through March and involves evening and weekend commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Coach in planning and preparation of team training, travel, practices, recruiting, and teaching student‑athletes.
• Share in all aspects of recruitment, identifying, attracting, matriculating and retaining outstanding student‑athletes.
• Attend coaching and teaching meetings, complete required departmental and institutional training, and engage in professional development.
• Comply with NCAA Division III, MIAC, Carleton College, and Athletic Department policies and regulations.

Required profile

• BA or BS degree.
• 1–2 years coaching or playing experience at the collegiate level.
• Commitment to student‑athletes, passion for basketball, strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
