About the role
The Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager in delivering an exceptional dining experience at our New York restaurant. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on daily operations, team leadership, and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day restaurant operations and ensure operational efficiency.
- Lead, coach, and schedule staff while fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Implement service standards and monitor inventory levels.
- Address guest inquiries, resolve conflicts, and coordinate special events.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food‑service regulations.
Required profile
- Strong leadership and team‑management abilities.
- In‑depth knowledge of restaurant operations, inventory management, and hospitality best practices.
- Excellent customer‑service and conflict‑resolution skills.
- Organizational and time‑management capabilities for handling multiple tasks.
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience in hospitality.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field preferred but not required.
Required skills
- Proficiency with restaurant management software.
- Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
