Assembler II – 1st Shift (SU3)

About the role

As an integral member of the production team, you will assemble gasket plate heat exchangers on the 1st shift, contributing to Alfa Laval’s mission of creating resource‑efficient solutions. The role requires strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow blueprints and standard operating procedures in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive daily work assignments and execute production using SOPs and blueprints.
• Report safety, quality, parts, or equipment deviations immediately and update the Team Leader.
• Participate actively in Daily Status Board meetings, explaining deviations and proposing solutions.
• Identify waste elimination opportunities and drive Kaizen improvements.
• Maintain high 5S standards through daily and weekly routines.
• Cross‑train on other manufacturing processes and use downtime for learning.
• Accurately record quality data and product documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives such as PRP, TPM, and ALPS.
• Pass industrial vehicle certification (crane, forklift, joey) and operate lifts safely.
• Use personal protective equipment consistently.

Required profile

• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and SOPs.
• Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
• Willingness to undergo and pass industrial vehicle certification.
