Area Director – Restaurant Operations

About the role

The Area Director leads and operates multiple Raising Cane’s restaurants in the Chicago area. This field‑based role is accountable for new restaurant growth, revenue, profitability, and human‑capital management while collaborating with the Area Business Unit team.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily operations of all assigned restaurants, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision, mission, and core values.
• Develop and execute operational plans that drive sales, profit, and efficient service.
• Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, EBITDAR management, and cost control.
• Partner with marketing, training, recruiting, and growth functions to support restaurant success.
• Identify performance gaps, provide coaching, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment, handling physical tasks such as lifting, standing, and working with food products.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading multiple restaurant locations or similar multi‑unit operations.
• Strong financial acumen with responsibility for budgeting and profit‑and‑loss management.
• Ability to motivate and develop crew members, fostering a high‑performing culture.
• Comfort working in fast‑paced kitchen environments and handling physical demands.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
