Architect – Design & Development Role

About the role

Populous is seeking an Architect to join its Los Angeles studio. You will work on a diverse portfolio of public‑assembly projects such as sports venues, convention centers, and transportation facilities, contributing to the creation of memorable places where people gather.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualize and develop design solutions that meet programmatic requirements.
• Lead technical development and produce detailed project documentation.
• Create and refine design concepts during schematic and design‑development phases.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, communities, and public agencies.
• Support construction administration to ensure design intent is maintained.

Required profile

• Prior experience in the AEC industry.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.
• Self‑motivated, able to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
