Analyst, Strategy & Operations

About the role

The Analyst, Strategy & Operations will join Mastercard’s North America Strategy & Operations team, supporting the North America Optimization program. The role focuses on performance tracking, reporting, and analytics to help sales teams drive incremental transaction volume, revenue growth, and deeper customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Track, analyze, and report progress against regional Optimization targets, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Build, maintain, and enhance reporting tools and Power BI dashboards for timely performance visibility.
• Partner with US and Canada sales teams across Financial Institutions, Digital Partners, and Merchants to provide data‑driven insights and prioritize opportunities.
• Support clear communication of Optimization performance to stakeholders, including account managers and product managers.
• Analyze portfolio and customer data to uncover opportunities for incremental GDV, revenue growth, and customer engagement.
• Provide analytical support for broader North America Strategy & Operations initiatives and ad‑hoc strategic projects.

• Passion for Mastercard’s mission and strong interest in sales strategy and business operations.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities with a focus on turning data into concise insights.
• High attention to detail and comfort working in tracking‑ and reporting‑focused environments.
• Strong organizational skills, proactive mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience building or working with data dashboards (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
• Exposure to Salesforce (optional).
