About the role
Ello is looking for a full‑time AI Learning Designer focused on elementary mathematics. In this role you will shape the instructional vision of our AI‑powered math tutor, blending pedagogy with cutting‑edge artificial intelligence to create engaging, personalized learning experiences for children worldwide.
Key responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and iterate AI‑driven math learning activities that align with elementary curriculum standards.
- Guide the AI tutor’s behavior to emulate best‑practice human teaching methods.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design teams to translate instructional concepts into functional AI components.
- Ensure that all math content is grounded in learning science and delivers measurable learning outcomes.
- Expand and maintain Ello’s library of math lessons, assessments, and interactive experiences.
Required profile
- Strong background in elementary math pedagogy or curriculum design.
- Technical foundation in computer science, AI, computational thinking, or educational technology.
- Experience building or contributing to AI‑enabled educational products.
- Ability to work hand‑in‑hand with engineers and understand the capabilities and limits of modern AI systems.
