Advanced Practice RN/Physician Assistant – Spine

About the role

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) will join the Spine team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This full‑time, on‑site position provides specialized patient care within a multidisciplinary spine program, supporting the mission to improve health outcomes for Arkansans.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with spine conditions.
• Conduct clinical procedures, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and prescribe medications as authorized.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and educational activities.

Required profile

• Current licensure as an APRN or PA in the United States.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Experience in spine or musculoskeletal care preferred.
• Commitment to patient‑centered care and teamwork.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and diagnosis of spine disorders.
• Management of treatment plans and follow‑up care.
• Proficiency with electronic health record documentation.
