Adult Education Case Manager

About the role

The Adult Education Case Manager provides case management services to clients enrolled in ESL classes at the IRC office in New York City. The role designs and implements career roadmaps to help low‑English‑proficiency participants become job‑ready, while supporting outreach, enrollment, and ongoing coaching.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct primary outreach to enroll clients into ESOL and Career Development programming.
• Perform pre‑enrollment assessments, create individualized career development plans, and provide continuous case management.
• Maintain accurate case files and document services and outcomes in case management databases.
• Assist clients one‑on‑one with resume building, job search strategies, and interview preparation.
• Identify and develop appropriate employment opportunities and partnerships with local agencies and training providers.
• Collaborate with IRC employment specialists, case managers, and financial education staff to integrate career services.
• Support colleagues in tracking quantitative metrics to evaluate project effectiveness.
• Facilitate workshops and refine advanced work reading materials as needed.
