Admissions Representative

About the role

Centura College, a provider of hands-on technical and career training in Allied Health and Skilled Trades, is hiring an Admissions Representative in Norfolk, Virginia. The role connects prospective students with educational opportunities and guides them through the enrollment process. Pay is up to $30 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Engage prospective students through high-volume inbound and outbound calls, emails and in-person or virtual meetings.
• Conduct admissions interviews to understand students' career goals, interests and educational needs.
• Guide students through the admissions and enrollment process, including applications and required documentation.
• Achieve performance goals for outreach, appointment setting, conversion rates and enrollment.
• Maintain consistent follow-up and accurately record interactions and application progress in the CRM or student management system.
• Collaborate with campus leadership and other departments and represent the college at events, open houses and community outreach.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Previous experience in sales, admissions, customer service or a related field, with success meeting performance goals.
• One or more years of admissions experience in a postsecondary setting preferred.
• Ability to work the schedule, including rotating Saturdays.

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn CRM and student information systems.
• Ability to manage a high volume of outreach while keeping attention to detail.
