Part-Time Virtual Iraqi Language Instructor

About the role

Berlitz, a global language training and intercultural services provider, is hiring a part-time Iraqi language instructor to teach its virtual students. Working under the direction of the Service Delivery Manager and Academic Specialist, the instructor represents Berlitz as an expert teacher and ambassador, delivering lessons focused on each student's goals, needs and interests.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lessons following Berlitz teaching principles, tailored to the goals, needs and interests of students
• Conduct level assessments and needs analyses as assigned by the Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist
• Teach private and group students at the Learning Center, an offsite location, or virtually, as assigned
• Meet regularly with the Academic Specialist for lesson evaluation and coaching to strengthen teaching skills and meet SMART goals
• Complete training and professional development modules on the Berlitz Learning website and in live sessions
• Keep student pedagogical and attendance records up to date
• Integrate learning technology into teaching programs and maintain shared teaching resources

Required profile

• Eligible to work in the US
• Four-year college or university degree or equivalent
• Fluent in the language(s) to teach, including native-level fluency in English and the native language
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Flexible working hours and availability during the day to teach virtual students
• Able to take initiative and work independently
