About the role
The Admissions Coordinator I supports the planning, development, implementation, and recruitment of academic programs. This role reviews and evaluates applications for degree and professional certification studies using test scores, transcripts, and established criteria.
Key responsibilities
- Communicates admission status to applicants and coordinates with academic advisors and program directors for prospective and enrolled students.
- Assists with registration by evaluating required admission documents and participates in campus information sessions.
- Develops and utilizes computer reports to obtain data and maintains a current manual for office and student information system operations.
- Trains student workers on approved tasks and cross‑trains for selected tasks with managers.
- Maintains an efficient filing system to provide information to students, faculty, and visitors.
- Collects data and conducts research for schools and research projects.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least three (3) years of related experience in admissions or higher‑education administration.
Required skills
- Proficiency with word processing applications.
- Proficiency with spreadsheet applications.
- Proficiency with database applications.
