About the role
The State of Georgia seeks an Adjunct Instructor to teach Commercial Construction Management courses at West Georgia Technical College in Carrollton. This face‑to‑face, on‑campus position involves delivering theory and practical instruction that mirrors industry environments.
Key responsibilities
- Provide instruction in theory and practical applications of commercial construction management.
- Prepare and deliver course syllabi, labs, and field activities using current technology.
- Evaluate student progress, grade coursework promptly, and ensure safety standards are met.
- Collaborate with faculty to develop and assess student learning outcomes.
- Support recruitment, retention, and job placement initiatives.
Required profile
- Associate’s degree in Commercial Construction Management or a related field.
- Minimum three years of recent industry experience (within the past seven years).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, teaching experience at the post‑secondary level, and relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA‑30, LEED).
Required skills
- Blueprint reading.
- Project management.
- Scheduling software such as Bluebeam, Planera, Primavera P6, or ProCore.
