Accounts Receivable Credit Manager

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Credit Manager is responsible for managing customer credit risk, optimizing cash flow, minimizing bad debt exposure, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding receivables. The role partners closely with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor aging reports and key receivables metrics for a portfolio of $10‑$50 million.
• Identify credit risk areas and establish collection strategies.
• Lead collection efforts on past‑due accounts, resolve payment disputes, and coordinate escalations.
• Reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve working capital performance.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing, shipment, pricing, and deduction issues.
• Negotiate payment plans and settlements when appropriate.
• Maintain strong customer relationships while enforcing credit policies.
• Provide weekly reporting to the Team Lead and senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in accounting or related field, or comparable work experience.
• Professional, courteous communication with internal and external customers.
• Experience in an accounting role with receivable responsibilities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot issues.

Required skills
