Accountant - Internal Review HQ

About the role

The Internal Review Accountant will support the Headquarters team by evaluating compliance, financial, and operational processes across the organization. This position involves extensive data analysis, audit testing, and collaboration with business owners to ensure adherence to company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute testing protocols based on company policies to verify compliance.
• Select representative transaction samples, review supporting documentation, and confirm proper approvals.
• Analyze profit‑center forecasts and reports to detect unusual activity.
• Interpret reports, schedules, and correspondence from profit centers and project management to ensure policy alignment.
• Prepare summary reports with findings, recommendations, and action plans for management.
• Maintain work programs, templates, and matrices documenting test results.
• Archive findings and supporting documentation according to established processes.
• Participate in policy discussions and update review materials to reflect current directives.
• Conduct data‑analytics tasks, clean data from multiple sources, identify trends, and create dashboards for decision‑making.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, construction accounting, or a comparable mix of education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal control systems, and audit standards.
• Ability to assess contract terms for profitability and risk.
• Demonstrated independent judgment, problem‑solving skills, and attention to detail.
