Software Engineering Manager – SAP Platform

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager / Staff Software Engineering Manager to lead our SAP Platform team in the United States. In this high‑impact role you will shape the strategy, architecture and delivery of SAP solutions that power core business functions such as finance, HR, procurement and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop SAP engineering teams, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Define and drive SAP platform strategy, architecture and roadmap aligned with enterprise objectives.
• Oversee design, development, configuration and maintenance of SAP solutions across functional and technical domains.
• Partner with business stakeholders, architects and cross‑functional teams to translate requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
• Ensure platform stability, performance and reliability through governance, standards and change‑management practices.
• Manage end‑to‑end SAP project delivery, including planning, execution, resource allocation, deployment and post‑go‑live support.
• Collaborate with security, compliance and GRC teams to meet regulatory and internal control requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, automation, tooling and operational efficiency.
• Lead SAP upgrades, migrations and modernization initiatives across enterprise systems.
• Maintain platform documentation, standards and best practices and support incident response and on‑call rotations.

Required profile

• 6+ years progressive experience in SAP ecosystems, including platform engineering, architecture or solution delivery.
• 3+ years experience in technical leadership, engineering management or SAP platform ownership.
• Deep hands‑on experience with SAP technologies such as S/4HANA, ECC, BTP and ABAP.
• Strong understanding of SAP functional domains (finance, HR, procurement, etc.).
