About the role
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a full‑time Respiratory Therapist to work the day shift in Little Rock. This permanent position offers a $10,000 sign‑on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key responsibilities
- Provide direct respiratory care to patients across acute and critical care settings.
- Operate and manage mechanical ventilation, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment.
- Perform arterial blood gas analysis and interpret results.
- Conduct airway management, including intubation assistance and suctioning.
- Administer pulmonary function tests and educate patients on respiratory therapies.
- Document all interventions accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff to develop and adjust care plans.
Required profile
- Current, unrestricted Respiratory Therapist license in Arkansas.
- Eligibility to work in the United States on day shift hours.
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work in a fast‑paced hospital environment.
