About the role
The Production Planner supports Big River Steel’s production plan and site objectives, ensuring safety, quality, and customer requirements are met while providing detailed daily schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure safety, environmental, quality, and ResponsibleSteel requirements are followed.
- Interface with management, operating, commercial, and quality teams to incorporate mill conditions and customer needs into daily sequencing.
- Recommend improvements to current systems and develop sequencing rules.
- Provide accurate reporting to various departments.
- Offer backup support to other planners and perform any additional duties assigned by Production Planning management.
Required profile
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities with attention to detail.
- Analytical problem‑solving skills and ability to work proactively with multiple departments.
- Commitment to customer needs, sales team support, and overall company goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
