About the role

Alcon is seeking a Dry Eye Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist to cover a large territory in Sacramento, CA. This full‑time remote (field‑based) position focuses on building disease awareness, supporting patient access, and driving sales growth within the eye‑care market.

Key responsibilities

  • Build disease awareness with key partners and understand treatment initiation processes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners on prior authorizations, payor restrictions, reimbursement, and patient referrals.
  • Manage the sales budget and develop an impactful territory plan.
  • Employ business planning and local market knowledge to expand sales and customer networks.
  • Develop relationships with physicians, practitioners, and opinion leaders to understand treatment algorithms.
  • Implement compliant, medically relevant programs to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Visit all customers in the territory according to importance and potential.
  • Coordinate trainings, informative programs, and product presentations.
  • Prospect new accounts and identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (e.g., high school + 10 years, Associate + 6 years, M.S. + 0 years).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
