Partnership & Commercial Strategy Intern

About the role

The Boston Celtics are seeking a motivated intern to support the Partnerships & Commercial Strategy team. This part‑time role (29 hours/week, September‑December) offers hands‑on experience in a professional sports environment, helping you develop analytical, presentation, and project‑management skills.

Key responsibilities

• Research new partnership opportunities, analyze categories, and track industry trends.
• Assist in creating partnership proposals and presentation decks for prospective and existing partners.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate activation and promotion ideas.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather data and insights for strategy development.
• Monitor performance of existing partnerships and recommend improvements.
• Support marketing and revenue‑driving initiatives for merchandising and youth basketball platforms.
• Prepare reports and performance metrics for partnership initiatives.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Passion for sports, especially basketball.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Eligibility for academic credit and availability for home games/events.
