Orthopaedics Polish Operator

About the role

The Polish Operator 1 works on a manufacturing cell that produces medical instruments and implants for the Orthopaedics division. Under the guidance of the cell lead, you will operate diverse machinery, ensure product quality, and follow strict safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment such as CNC machines, hydraulic and pneumatic tools, laser etching machines, and packaging/labeling equipment to manufacture orthopaedic devices.
• Inspect in‑process and finished products for dimensional and cosmetic specifications using gauges, micrometers, calipers and other measuring instruments.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance, including coolant checks, fluid level monitoring, belt changes, and supporting breakdown repairs.
• Complete rework on non‑conforming parts and collaborate with cell leaders and quality teams to resolve issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred; at least six months of relevant experience is an asset.
• Ability to regularly lift 5‑25 lb and occasionally lift items over 50 lb.
• Willingness to learn and follow department‑specific procedures and safety practices.

Required skills

• Operation of CNC, hydraulic, pneumatic, CMM, grinding, and laser etching equipment.
• Use of measuring tools such as gauges, micrometers, calipers, comparators, pH meters, go/no‑go gauges, conductivity meters, and digital titrators.
• Proficiency with hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers and deburring knives.
• Understanding of FDA QSR, ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 manufacturing requirements.
