Master Electrician

About the role

CACI is looking for a Master Electrician to support its mission-critical program at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The role covers electrical infrastructure, including power supply to mission-critical facilities and repair and renovation of electrical projects, with technical assistance and hands-on support for maintenance, repair, installation and troubleshooting. The position requires up to 25% travel within the continental US.

Key responsibilities

• Install and maintain low-voltage (480/277, 600 volts) single and multi-phase power wiring.
• Install feeder and branch circuits, conduit, service wire, fuse and breaker panels, switches, outlets, junction and outlet boxes, lighting fixtures, splices, connectors and ground wiring.
• Ensure materials and workmanship meet technical and safety standards, using US Army quality assurance procedures and DOD specifications.
• Provide detailed reports on equipment failure, maintenance needs and lifecycle replacements.
• Respond to service calls and preventive maintenance inspections, using a CMMS where applicable.
• Provide electrical design input to engineering installation plans and Engineering Change Proposals (ECP).
• Provide 24/7 quick-reaction technical support to mission-critical equipment and perform power quality measurements on commercial and technical facilities.
• Support US Army systems on site and be available to deploy worldwide or to various theaters for contingency missions, including potentially hazardous environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience, or a college/vocational/high school diploma with 10 years of education and experience leading to state-level Master Electrician licensure, or 12 years of equivalent military electrician training and certification.
• US citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance.
