Maintenance Technician – Preserve (Westfields)

About the role

Greystar is seeking a full‑time Maintenance Technician to join the Preserve team at Westfields in Chantilly, Virginia. The role focuses on keeping the property’s buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas in top condition, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and functionality for residents.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete work orders promptly.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and diagnose the cause of defects.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections and punch‑list creation.
• Schedule and coordinate vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and local code requirements.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• Experience in residential or commercial property maintenance.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and maintenance manuals.
