Maintenance Associate

About the role

The Maintenance Associate ensures that LEEP Dual Language Academy’s facilities meet high standards of cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appearance. Working closely with the Operations and Maintenance managers, the associate performs routine cleaning, minor repairs, and supports the overall upkeep of the school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, multipurpose rooms, restrooms, building exterior, and grounds to maintain a sanitary and attractive environment.
• Move deliveries, books, furniture, and other items as needed.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as drywall repair, minor carpentry, light‑bulb replacement, painting, ceiling‑tile replacement, playground and athletic‑area upkeep, and small landscaping projects.
• Conduct equipment audits, building inspections, and address safety issues promptly.
• Maintain exterior areas, including snow/ice removal and trash collection.
• Carry a handheld radio on school property when assigned.
• Attend meetings, workshops, and training sessions related to the role.
