Legal Nurse Consultant (Part‑time, Hybrid/Remote)

About the role

Burr & Forman LLP is seeking a part‑time Legal Nurse Consultant to join its Health Care Practice Group. Working 50‑90 hours per month, you will support attorneys by analyzing medical records and providing clinical insight for legal matters. The role can be performed in a hybrid office setting or fully remote within selected states.

Key responsibilities

• Process record requests and obtain medical records from facilities.
• Verify completeness of records, identify gaps, and request additional documentation.
• Review, summarize, and analyze medical records and related legal documents.
• Conduct medical record gap analysis and draft detailed chronologies.
• Provide clinical analysis of medical issues relevant to each case.
• Perform clinical research as needed and support other team tasks.

Required profile

• BSN or RN degree with at least five years of nursing experience, preferably in senior‑care settings.
• Familiarity with Point Click Care (PCC) and Matrixcare systems.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and clinical standards.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent written communication and drafting skills.
