Laundry Aide – Laundry Staff Member

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Laundry Aide to join our long‑term care team. You will ensure residents receive clean, well‑maintained linens and clothing, supporting their comfort and hygiene in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate household and industrial laundry equipment to wash and dry resident and facility linens.
• Fold, stack, and organize linens for proper storage and distribution.
• Deliver clean linens promptly to resident rooms and designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and keep equipment in good working order.
• Handle approved detergents and chemicals safely according to guidelines.
• Assist residents by delivering clothing directly to their rooms with care.

Required profile

• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work efficiently in a team.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure laundry is properly cleaned and organized.
• Reliability, punctuality, and capacity to multitask in a busy setting.
• Positive, cooperative attitude when interacting with residents, families, and staff.
• Understanding of cleanliness and infection‑control standards in a healthcare environment.
