Industrial Maintenance Technician II - 2nd Shift

About the role

Amentum is looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician II to join a team of multi-skilled technicians in a manufacturing facility in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 2nd shift (2:00 pm to 10:30 pm), and hours may vary with business demand; overtime, holidays and weekends may be required. The role provides entry-level experience responding to work orders with limited troubleshooting and carrying out preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to work orders with limited troubleshooting and carry out preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment, fixtures and systems
• Perform inspections, check sprockets, chains, motors, gearboxes and bearings, lubricate moving parts, clean, change filters and make minor repairs
• Gather data for predictive maintenance technologies such as oil, vibration, ultrasound and infrared thermography analysis, and act on their findings
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as scheduled in the CMMS, and inspect and receive new lubricant deliveries
• Recommend improvements to maintenance methods and equipment performance
• Follow safety procedures such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout, wear PPE, and operate hand tools, laptops and diagnostic hardware

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 0-2 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs repeatedly, kneel, bend and reach repetitively, and walk extensively in the plant
• Ability to differentiate wire colours and use a company-approved utility knife
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a security access badge at the client site
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends; no sponsorship for U.S. work authorization
