Industrial Janitor (Full-Time)

About the role

Amentum is hiring two full-time Industrial Janitors in Sandy Springs, GA to clean and maintain an assigned area of an industrial facility. The two positions are offered on either the 1st shift (7:00am-3:30pm) or the 2nd shift (3:30pm-12:00am). The starting hourly rate is targeted at $16.00, subject to education, experience, skills and market data.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain buildings and facilities, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming and stripping, sealing, finishing and polishing floors.
• Clean carpets, apply spot treatments, dust and wash furniture, walls, blinds and equipment, and clean ceilings and light fixtures.
• Wash windows, glass partitions and mirrors, and remove stains from carpets, drapes, walls and floors.
• Prepare cleaning solutions, gather and remove trash, and supply and service restrooms.
• Notify managers of minor or major repair needs and keep the janitor's closet and equipment tidy.
• Monitor building security and safety, such as locking doors after hours.
• Drive vehicles (vans, industrial trucks, golf carts, industrial vacuums) to other facilities if required, and provide extra cleaning during client events.

Required profile

• 1 year of relevant experience in industrial or commercial cleaning.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility/security credentials; US citizenship or permanent residency is required, and no sponsorship is offered.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Physical demands: repetitive bending, lifting up to 30 lbs, extensive walking, and wearing safety gear such as steel-toe shoes and hard hats.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is preferred.
