Head of Strategic Partnerships & Influence (Remote)

About the role

As the Head of Strategic Partnerships & Influence, you will elevate the profile of direct cash transfers among technology, finance and thought‑leader communities. You will turn public intellectuals, influencers and brand partners into a coordinated force that amplifies GiveDirectly’s mission.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage leading writers, thinkers and public intellectuals in finance, tech, economics and international development.
• Develop and execute partnership‑driven marketing, brand and event strategies that generate awareness for GiveDirectly.
• Lead a small, cross‑functional team within the marketing organization, collaborating with press, content, social media, thought‑leadership and fundraising leads.
• Build and nurture nascent brand partnerships with fintech platforms, personal‑finance media, consumer brands and other organisations for co‑branding opportunities.
• Prioritise relationship‑based outreach over paid media, securing commitments without large financial checks.

Required profile

• Deep familiarity with leading voices in finance, technology, economics and international development.
• Comfortable working directly with public intellectuals on big ideas and rigorous evidence.
• Creative, big‑picture thinker with experience in partnership‑focused marketing, brand building and events.
• Exceptional relational skills – able to build rapport quickly with diverse audiences, especially in tech, finance and research circles.
• Background as a founder, business‑development/marketing leader, or experienced writer/thought‑leader is a strong plus.
