Head of Growth Marketing

About the role

Haystack News is seeking a Head of Growth Marketing to drive user acquisition, subscription conversion and revenue across mobile, web and CTV. This is a hands‑on player‑coach position where you will own the full growth funnel from paid media to retention.

Key responsibilities

• Lead paid acquisition on Meta, Google, Apple Search Ads and CTV platforms, optimizing CAC and payback.
• Own the Premium subscription funnel end‑to‑end, from trial activation to conversion and long‑term retention.
• Design and run a test‑and‑learn creative pipeline with designers and video producers.
• Monitor performance daily using dashboards and Snowflake, write SQL queries, and act on the most relevant signals.
• Leverage AI tools and build automations to accelerate growth experiments.

Required profile

• Proven experience building growth engines for consumer‑facing products.
• Data‑driven mindset with ability to work directly in analytics tools.
• Comfortable managing a small team and external partners while remaining hands‑on.
• Strong execution speed in a fast‑moving startup environment.
