Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the preparation and consolidation of regional financial statements, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and local statutory requirements. This senior position partners with finance leadership to drive reporting accuracy, process automation, and strategic finance initiatives across a global, private‑equity‑backed organization.

Key responsibilities

• Review and consolidate multi‑entity financial statements in line with U.S. GAAP and local regulations.
• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering operational excellence.
• Resolve complex accounting issues related to revenue recognition, intercompany activity, leases, and fixed assets.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Finance Systems, and senior leaders to streamline reporting workflows and reduce manual effort.
• Serve as primary liaison with external auditors and support annual audit and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for global operations.
• Contribute to finance transformation projects and special initiatives for the CFO and executive team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred, MST a plus.
• 8–12 years of corporate accounting experience, including public accounting and industry exposure.
• Strong M&A experience: acquisition accounting, purchase price allocations, post‑close integration.
• Background in advertising, media, communications, or professional services is a plus.
• Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, with strong leadership and project‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Expertise in consolidations and multi‑currency accounting.
• Proficiency with NetSuite ERP.
