Family Medicine Physician – Full-Time, Athens TX

About the role

Join one of Texas' largest multispecialty groups as a Board‑Certified/Board‑Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician. This full‑time, mission‑driven position is based in Athens, TX, within a physician‑led, faith‑based organization that emphasizes quality care, community well‑being, and work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide primary care to an established panel of 18‑20 patients per day.
• Collaborate daily with three experienced physicians, four nurse practitioners, and specialty providers in cardiology, orthopedics, vascular, pain management, podiatry, endocrinology, and sleep medicine.
• Utilize AI‑integrated tools to streamline documentation and enhance patient care.
• Document patient encounters using Epic EMR in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in a newly renovated clinic featuring a full‑service lab, imaging, and a modern emergency department.

Required profile

• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Willingness to work Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM.
• Commitment to a physician‑led, collaborative environment.
• Interest in serving a community located 75 miles from Dallas and near Tyler.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic EMR.
• Experience using AI‑integrated documentation or decision‑support tools.
