Electrical Controls Engineer – Rockwell PLCs & Custom Automation

About the role

Join a close‑knit engineering team at a respected custom machine builder, designing and commissioning automated material handling and processing equipment. You will own the full controls lifecycle from concept through customer startup.

Key responsibilities

• Design complete electrical control systems, specifying PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, VFDs, sensors, safety and vision devices.
• Develop and troubleshoot Rockwell CompactLogix PLC programs and HMI interfaces.
• Create electrical schematics and control drawings in AutoCAD and maintain accurate Bills of Materials.
• Support machine integration, testing, factory acceptance, and on‑site commissioning.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and directly with customers throughout design, build, and installation phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of electrical controls engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience with Rockwell CompactLogix PLC programming.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for schematic development.
• Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.
