Development Operations Manager

About the role

The Development Operations Manager oversees the systems, processes, and data that support Compass Family Services’ fundraising and donor engagement. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures accurate gift processing, reliable database management, and effective reporting for the Development team.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and manage all contributions in the Salesforce donor database, including complex gifts and matching donations.
• Coordinate with Finance for monthly revenue reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and generation of personalized donor acknowledgments.
• Maintain data integrity in Salesforce, create reports, dashboards, and lists to support fundraising strategy and donor stewardship.
• Identify and implement improvements to Development systems, workflows, and data‑management processes.
• Plan logistics for annual fund mailings, assist with events, and research funding opportunities.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in development operations, nonprofit administration, database management, or gift processing.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Salesforce (donor CRM) administration and data management.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and reporting tools.
• Experience with gift processing, financial reconciliation, and donor record maintenance.

What we offer

• Salary range $77,000 – $87,000 annually.
