Dental Assistant PRN – Oral Health Clinic

About the role

The Oral Health Clinic at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a PRN Dental Assistant to provide clinical support on a flexible, as‑needed basis. This temporary, fixed‑term position works directly with dentists and the care team to ensure efficient patient flow and high‑quality oral health services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection‑control standards.
• Document patient information, update charts, and manage radiographs.
• Educate patients on post‑procedure care and oral hygiene practices.
• Coordinate scheduling and ensure proper inventory of supplies.

Required profile

• Legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Relevant dental assisting certification or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work varied shifts in an onsite clinical environment.
