Cyber Security Specialist (1-2 years experience)

About the role

AaraTech Inc is looking for a motivated Cyber Security Specialist with 1–2 years of experience to strengthen its information security, risk management, and compliance programs. This position offers early‑career professionals the chance to work hands‑on in a regulated environment, collaborating with IT, compliance, and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and triage security alerts, logs, and events from SIEM, EDR, firewalls and other tools.
• Identify, assess, and document security risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation actions.
• Support implementation and maintenance of security controls aligned with policies and regulatory standards.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments, patch‑management tracking, and validation of remediation.
• Participate in incident response activities, including investigation, documentation, and root‑cause analysis.
• Conduct security configuration reviews and access‑control validations.
• Help prepare for audits and compliance assessments (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO, NIST, etc.).
• Maintain security documentation such as procedures, incident reports, risk registers, and evidence of controls.
• Promote security awareness and best practices across the organization.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
