Credit & Collections Specialist

About the role

The Credit & Collections Specialist will manage credit and collection processes for our Miami operation, ensuring compliance with internal policies, timely follow‑up on receivables, and mitigation of financial risk. This position is essential for maintaining the financial health of the business and strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer the accounts‑receivable portfolio and monitor pending balances.
• Execute collection activities, meeting payment deadlines and terms.
• Analyze customer credit limits and conditions according to internal policies.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, and Customer Care to resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile payments, credit notes, and invoicing.
• Track key credit and collection KPIs such as DSO, aging, and overdue amounts.
• Prepare periodic portfolio and risk status reports.
• Maintain accurate documentation and updates in ERP/financial systems.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Credit & Collections, Accounts Receivable, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of credit evaluation, collection procedures, and reconciliations.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel for data analysis.
• Experience with financial ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• High analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Effective communication and negotiation capabilities.
