About the role

Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown is looking for a dependable, motivated Cook for its kitchen in the F&B department. The ideal candidate takes pride in preparing quality food and delivering a great guest experience, works well in a busy kitchen, follows recipes consistently and keeps food quality, presentation and cleanliness a priority.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
• Complete daily prep work and keep the station stocked, organized and ready for service.
• Coordinate with the culinary and service teams to deliver accurate orders promptly.
• Support restaurant, banquet and other food service operations as assigned.
• Follow food safety procedures for handling, storage, labeling, temperature control and sanitation.
• Monitor product freshness, rotate inventory and help minimize food waste.
• Safely operate and clean kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
• Communicate shortages, equipment concerns and special dietary requests to the culinary leadership team.
• Follow hotel policies and maintain a professional, team-oriented approach.

Required profile

• Previous cooking experience in a hotel, restaurant, banquet kitchen or similar setting preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes, manage multiple orders and maintain quality during busy periods.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and teamwork.
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to perform essential kitchen duties such as prolonged standing, lifting supplies and working around heat, with or without reasonable accommodation.
