Contracts Attorney – Technology Company (Columbus, OH)

About the role

We are seeking a Contracts Attorney to join a technology firm that serves the housing industry. This long‑term contract position is based in Columbus, Ohio and is ideal for an early‑career lawyer who can quickly contribute across a variety of legal matters in a collaborative, small‑team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and revise a high volume of commercial agreements, including customer service contracts and vendor documents.
• Conduct legal research and translate findings into practical guidance for business stakeholders.
• Provide timely support on contract questions, issue spotting, and day‑to‑day legal matters.
• Assist with consumer‑complaint responses, evaluating issues and drafting appropriate communications.
• Support light litigation management, including tracking matters and coordinating with outside counsel.
• Contribute to basic corporate governance tasks such as document review and record organization.
• Partner with a small legal department on ad‑hoc assignments and priority matters.

Required profile

• Active license to practice law in good standing.
• At least 1 year of legal experience, preferably with commercial contract work.
• Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate business‑to‑business agreements.
• Familiarity with contract law principles and corporate governance concepts.
• Strong legal research, writing, and organizational skills.
