About the role
Assistant General Counsel will support AECOM Tishman's construction projects in New York City, providing legal advice, contract negotiation, and risk management across a range of high‑rise commercial, residential and hospitality developments.
Key responsibilities
- Review, prepare and negotiate contracts and sub‑contracts for construction projects.
- Identify legal risks, provide risk assessments and obtain approvals to proceed with projects or pursuits.
- Advise on collateral matters arising from business transactions.
- Partner with commercial, operations, HR, analytics and insurance teams to protect company interests and minimize liability.
- Manage external counsel for judicial, administrative litigation and claims.
- Lead negotiations between Tishman and its clients.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, following established policies and procedures.
Required profile
- Legal background with experience in contract review, negotiation, risk assessment and litigation management.
- Ability to collaborate with commercial, operations, HR and insurance departments.
- Advanced analytical, technical and problem‑solving skills.
