Community Manager – Lease‑Up Specialist

About the role

The Community Manager will oversee day‑to‑day operations of a lease‑up property, leading the on‑site team to meet financial and occupancy goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and housing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily property operations, budgeting, rent collection, and financial reporting.
• Approve vendor invoices, control expenditures, and handle petty cash.
• Oversee lease enforcement, resident applications, renewals, inspections, and evictions.
• Analyze market trends and implement leasing strategies to achieve occupancy targets.
• Maintain resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service requests promptly.
• Supervise staff hiring, training, performance management, and ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards.
• Communicate with property owners, provide performance updates, and respond to owner requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate or related field.
• 4–6 years of relevant property‑management experience, including 1–2 years as a Community Manager.
• Strong communication, conflict‑resolution and customer‑service abilities.
• Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated and able to work independently or as a team leader.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property‑management software (Yardi, Entrata, OneSite).
• Strong internet, word‑processing, spreadsheet and database‑management skills.
• Valid driver’s license for on‑site vehicle operation.
