Maintenance Technician - AMP Lofts

About the role

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the AMP Lofts property in Los Angeles. The role involves performing technical and mechanical work to keep the building, grounds, and common areas safe, functional, and attractive. You will work on resident service requests, preventative maintenance, and prepare vacant units for new tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing them according to safety codes.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Assist with grounds and amenity upkeep by trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and minor painting.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of maintenance experience (preferred).
• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license (required for operating a golf cart on larger properties).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, on‑call shifts, and occasional travel to other properties.

Required skills

• EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Basic building systems maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, inventory tracking, and safety procedures.
