Business Development Lead

About the role

We are seeking a founding Business Development Lead to drive go‑to‑market growth for Rowspace. You will work directly with founders, engineers, and the GTM team to build relationships with senior decision‑makers at top financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full business development cycle – prospecting, qualification, discovery, negotiation, and close for institutional financial services firms.
• Shape Rowspace’s GTM strategy – market segmentation, competitive positioning, pricing, and packaging – in partnership with the founders.
• Develop and execute account strategies to break into and expand key customers, building deep relationships with CIOs, COOs, portfolio managers, and partners.
• Synthesize customer feedback, pipeline data, and product usage into recommendations that influence GTM execution and product roadmap.
• Drive cross‑functional initiatives without a natural owner and help hire and scale the GTM team.

Required profile

• 2‑4+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or a high‑growth startup.
• Proven track record of building relationships with senior stakeholders in financial services or similarly complex enterprise environments.
• Exceptional analytical ability to build models, dissect markets, and restructure pricing frameworks.
• High agency and comfort with ambiguity, thriving in a fast‑moving, startup environment.
• Strong written communication skills to distill complexity into clear memos or board decks.
