Attorney/Lawyer – Commercial Litigation (Financial Institutions)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced attorney licensed in Illinois to join a busy commercial legal practice in Naperville. The role focuses on representing financial institution clients in creditor‑side commercial matters and related litigation on a long‑term contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Represent lender and banking clients in commercial disputes and creditor‑related matters.
• Draft and file motions, briefs, pleadings, and other court documents with strong legal analysis.
• Manage discovery, including drafting requests, reviewing responses, and organizing evidence.
• Advise clients on enforcement of contracts, secured interests, and foreclosure proceedings.
• Support commercial real estate and lending transactions and related documentation.
• Appear in court, attend hearings, and advocate throughout litigation stages.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain case progress and contribute to a dependable team culture.

Required profile

• Active Illinois law license in good standing.
• Minimum three years of experience as an attorney, preferably in commercial litigation or creditor‑rights matters.
• Proven ability to draft motions, legal briefs, and other court filings.
• Hands‑on experience managing discovery in litigation.
• Background representing lenders, banks, or other financial institutions is strongly preferred.
