Assurance Experienced Associate

About the role

We are seeking an Assurance Experienced Associate to join our audit team. The role involves preparing financial statements with disclosures, applying GAAP, and testing client control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements with appropriate disclosures.
• Apply GAAP principles to client transactions and document conclusions.
• Document and validate the operating effectiveness of clients’ internal control systems.
• Research intermediate accounting topics and form initial opinions independently.
• Apply GAAS standards, develop audit workpapers, and exercise audit skepticism.
• Follow BDO methodology and ensure work complies with firm policies.
• Identify opportunities to adjust testing scope and communicate findings to senior team members.
• Contribute ideas and opinions to engagement teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field (CPA certification required).
• Master’s in Accountancy preferred.
• At least one year of relevant assurance or audit experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and professional auditing standards.
