Assistant Maintenance Supervisor – Avana Lexington

About the role

The Assistant Maintenance Supervisor supports the property’s physical upkeep, ensuring that buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet Greystar’s standards for safety, appearance and functionality. This position works on a Monday‑Friday schedule with a rotating on‑call rotation.

Key responsibilities

• Complete resident‑requested work orders and preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including pre‑move‑out inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, supply procurement, maintenance tasks and final inspections.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, tracking usage, returning unused items and notifying the supervisor of re‑order needs.
• Document service requests accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds, common areas and amenities by removing trash, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, performing general cleaning and painting curbs or signage as needed.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently.
