Assistant Controller – Financial Analysis & Reporting

About the role

The Assistant Controller provides accounting and analytical support to drive financial performance at the Bogalusa plant. Reporting to the Controller, you will help analyze results, improve processes, and ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in preparing and analyzing operational results, trends, and customer profitability.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, capital project evaluation, and incentive plan calculations.
• Develop and refine accounting processes to improve efficiency and documentation.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Prepare journal vouchers and participate in month‑end close activities.
• Perform daily financial tasks, data entry, and generate required reports.
• Review production hours, payroll entries, and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• 3+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of general business management principles and internal financial management.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence peers and management.
