Accountant – Vacation Rental Industry

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our fast‑growing finance team serving vacation‑rental clients. You will work remotely with a collaborative group of bookkeepers, controllers and FP&A professionals, delivering high‑quality financial reporting and support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple clients, including AP/AR, bank and credit‑card reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Prepare, review and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and address any discrepancies proactively.
• Perform job costing, project accounting and budget‑to‑actual analysis as needed.
• Support tax compliance by preparing documentation, coordinating with external tax advisors and assisting audit requests.
• Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams, offering insights to improve financial operations.
• Identify and implement process and internal‑control improvements to boost accuracy and scalability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Fluent English and comfortable communicating with high‑profile clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑mindset environment.
• Availability 9 AM–5 PM EST, Monday‑Friday, and willingness to work as an independent contractor.
