Workforce Education Instructor – Practical Nursing (12‑month)

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello is hiring a Workforce Education Instructor to lead the High School Practical Nursing pathway. This 12‑month, non‑tenure faculty appointment involves teaching undergraduate nursing and health‑related courses, supervising clinical experiences, and supporting online instruction.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a variety of health‑related undergraduate and nursing technical courses.
• Supervise student clinicals and coordinate practicum placements.
• Develop and deliver online course content or learn online teaching requirements.
• Advise, register, and mentor students throughout their program.
• Maintain program and student records, and assist with recruitment and placement activities.
• Participate in departmental and university committees and professional development.
• Establish and maintain business and industry contacts.
• Work occasional evening or summer hours as needed.

Required profile

• Current, non‑encumbered Arkansas Registered Nurse license.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum three years of hospital work experience.
• Teaching experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
