Assistant Professor – Social Work (Tenure-Track)

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Monticello seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Social Work to join its undergraduate program. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and service while supporting the mission of the BSW program.

Key responsibilities

• Teach 12 credit hours per academic semester across the BSW curriculum.
• Participate actively in the department’s CSWE reaffirmation process.
• Provide academic and professional advising to BSW students.
• Engage in university and community service initiatives.
• Develop and implement an active research agenda aligned with program goals.

Required profile

• MSW degree from a CSWE‑accredited program.
• Minimum two years of post‑master social work practice in social services settings.
• LMSW or LCSW and eligibility for licensure in Arkansas.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• At least two years of college teaching experience (BSW or MSW), including face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats.
